I International Seminar on Large-Scale Sustainable Agriculture (SAGE I)
Data:The international seminar will take place on 12 - 13 March 2014 at the auditorium of the Central Library of the Federal University of Viçosa, in Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The simultaneous interpretation services (english-portuguese and portuguese-english) will be available for the participants during the seminar.
The main purpose of this event is discuss large-scale aspects of sustainable agriculture in Brazil, including:
- Global food demands;
- Food security;
- Climate change effects on agriculture;
- Greenhouse gases emissions by agricultural activities;
- Expansion of the agricultural frontier;
- Feedbacks between agricultural expansion and the regional climate.
